What we believe
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, written by human under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Ghost. It's authoritative and without error. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all mankind by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven's glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Mat 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Heb 4:14, 15; 1 Cor 15: 3-4; Rmns 1:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)
We believe that God created all human beings in His image. Therefore, we believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end the grave; we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity, and respect. (Psalms 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons; The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost; and that these three are one God. (Gen 1:26; Deut 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)
We believe the church is comprised of all those from every tongue, tribe, and nation who have been united to Jesus Christ through faith by God's grace. (Rmns 10:12; Rev 7:9)
We believe mankind is created in the image of God but separated from God by sin. Without Jesus, we cannot have a relationship with God (Gen 1:23; 1 Timothy 2:5)
We believe that no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again spiritually, and that the new birth of the believer comes only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe, also, that our redemption has been accomplished by the grace of God, an unmerited gift, given in love by God and not the result of any human works. (John 3:17-18; 2 Cor 5:21; Gal 3:13; Rmns 4:4-5)
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all believers, and through the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, a distinct experience from salvation, believers are empowered for Christian service, and gifted for this service. (Luke 11:13; Acts 1:8, 2:1-4, 8:17, 10:44-46, 19:6; Gal 5:22-23; 1 Cor 12)
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within and guides Christians, so they are enabled to live godly lives. (John 14:15-26; John 16:5-16; Eph 1:13-14)
We believe in water baptism by immersion. It does not save you, but it is a symbol of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Our entrance into the water during baptism identifies us with Christ’s death on the cross, His burial in the tomb and His resurrection from the dead. (Romans 6:3-7)
We believe sanctification is the ongoing process of allowing God's character to be developed in us (Rmns 6:19; Gal 5:22-25)
